Is Dr. Deepika a qualified dermatologist?
Dr. Deepika is a general physician with an additional Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cosmetology (PGDCC) from ILAMED India, affiliated with the University of Greifswald, Germany. She handles common skin concerns and offers aesthetic treatments she's trained for. For complex dermatology — biopsy-required cases, severe psoriasis, suspected skin cancer — she will refer you to a specialist dermatologist with a clear summary.
How much does laser hair removal cost?
Laser hair removal is priced per area per session — for example, full face is around ₹2,500–₹3,500, full legs around ₹6,000–₹8,000, underarms around ₹1,500. Most areas need 6–8 sessions for lasting results, scheduled 4–6 weeks apart. We will give you a complete plan and total cost before starting; no surprise charges.
What is a Hydra Facial and how is it different from a regular facial?
A Hydra Facial is a medical-grade procedure that combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, gentle extraction and skin hydration in a single session. Unlike a salon facial, it uses suction-based technology that does not damage skin, and the serums are clinical-grade. Skin looks brighter, smoother and more hydrated immediately after, with no downtime.
I have acne — what is the typical treatment plan?
Mild acne is usually managed with topical creams (retinoids, antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide) and a clear skincare routine. Moderate to severe acne may need a short course of oral antibiotics or hormonal evaluation, especially in women. Dr. Deepika will take a careful history (diet, stress, hormones, medications) before prescribing — not just hand out a tube of cream.
Can you help with hair fall and pigmentation?
Yes. Hair fall almost always has an underlying cause — thyroid, iron deficiency, stress, hormonal changes — so the workup includes basic blood tests before treatment. Pigmentation (melasma, post-acne marks, sun damage) responds to a combination of topical agents, sunscreen and sometimes in-clinic treatments. Realistic expectations matter — improvement, not overnight transformation.
Is laser hair removal safe and does it hurt?
Modern diode and Nd:YAG lasers are safe for Indian skin tones when used by trained operators. Sensation is best described as a warm rubber-band snap, mild and brief. We use cooling tips and topical numbing cream where helpful. Most patients tolerate it easily; let us know during the consultation if you have a low pain threshold and we will adjust.
How long does a skin consultation take?
A first skin consultation is around 20 minutes — long enough to take a full history, examine the skin under good light, and explain the diagnosis and options clearly. Follow-up visits are shorter. Dr. Deepika prefers patients walk out understanding their skin, not just holding a prescription.
Do you offer Botox, fillers or chemical peels?
We offer light to medium chemical peels for pigmentation, acne marks and skin texture. Botox and fillers are not currently part of our in-clinic services — for those, Dr. Deepika will refer you to a colleague who specialises in injectables. We would rather under-promise than do procedures that aren't part of our daily practice.
What should I do before a laser hair removal session?
Avoid sun exposure for 2–3 weeks before the session, do not wax or thread the area in the 4 weeks before (shaving 24 hours before is fine and recommended), and stop any retinoid creams a week prior. Come with clean, product-free skin. After the session, avoid hot showers and sun exposure for 48 hours.
Are skin treatments covered by health insurance?
Aesthetic treatments (laser hair removal, Hydra Facial, cosmetic peels) are not covered by any Indian health insurance — these are pay-per-session. Medical skin treatments (severe acne, eczema, fungal infections) are sometimes reimbursed under outpatient riders. We will provide a clinical receipt either way; insurance reimbursement is between you and your insurer.
